Going to two services!

Hey Church,

This Sunday will be our final ONE worship service together. The launch of two services is less than two weeks away. Thank you for your patience and support in this season of transition. Please continue that posture as we troubleshoot a new Sunday schedule and please pray for your Staff. There are so many moving pieces going into scheduling volunteers and administering ministry in general due to our continued growth. For example, our worship participation has increased from a 280 average in 2025 to over 320 in 2026. Our Discipleship hour averaged 166 in 2025 and is at 200 for 2026. And our actual membership is now over 400 people. All that to say, such growth brings increased details for your staff to manage.

Here is how you can help us the most. Please be patient and sacrificial as you serve. This Fall, if you find yourself scheduled to serve on a team more frequently or sooner than you expected, please hang in there with us. If you regret indicating "either service" on the Service Team Survey, please stick to that commitment for the Fall and simply let administrative staff know if you'd prefer for that to be adjusted for the next winter rotation. With our adjusted Sunday schedule, this Fall is like starting all over. Things should balance out as we get to 2027. And, due to our growth, we have a pile of new members who will be included in the Winter Schedule. So again, patience and sacrificial service is huge for this coming Fall.

Don't forget that our second Sunday Team training is at 9:30 this Sunday. We will train for Ushers, Greeters, Communion Prep, Kitchen Crew, and Post Worship Teams. Pick a second category to train on Sunday and if you are not on a team, visit a Team training of interest to you. Our new semester for Adult Discipleship Seminars will begin September 13, at 10:00 AM.

Keep track of your church family. With two services, the best way to keep track of your church family is to engage in our Discipleship Hour and other churchwide gatherings like our Second Sunday Dinners. On those occasions, you will cross over with many who may attend a different service than you. Also, from time to time, you might attend a different worship time so you can cross over with those that you may not consistently worship with. Finally, please remember that having two services allows those assigned childcare in one service to fully participate in worship in the other service. We trust you will take hold of that opportunity.
