The Compromising Church

The Pressure to Compromise:
 
· It is intellectual
· It is political
 
· It is recreational
 
· It is social
 
· It is sexual
 
· It is spiritual
 
Is your identity formed more by Christ or culture? 
Number two: Are you compromising sexually? 
Number three: Are you compromising doctrinally? 
We are to repent!
The White Stone: 
· A white stone was commonly associated with a vote of acquittal while a black stone indicated guilt. If in Christ, we are acquitted from all guilt.
 
· When a victor won in the Roman games, he was given as part of his prize a white stone which was his admission pass into the festival that was held following the games for all the victors. The white stone may represent the overcomer’s ticket to the eternal victory feast.
A New Name: Representing a new status, identity and family that is secure in Jesus (Isaiah 62:2, 65:15, Rev. 22:3-4, 14:1, 19:12)
The Hidden Manna: And as we refuse to compromise with the world, Jesus will provide and sustain us because He is the bread of life, He is our manna from Heaven.
